New money

The United States appears to have caved in and gone the route of colored money. Now we're more like the rest of the world. OK, not really; we're still uniquely psychotic. I want one of these $20 bills.

At least that's one government agency that appears to have some semblance of a sense of humor when it comes to itself.

I think the design of your notes look a bit outdated, even with more colors... (Sorry, Americans. ;-)) I mean, the typography looks like it's from the good ol' days of cowboys and 'WANTED' posters.

They should not introduce new money and then make curious people wait for eons. In other words, my odds of getting Norwegian money are higher than my odds of getting a new $20 bill.

Actually, I agree with Travholt about the currency. New Zealand has CLEAR MONEY (OK, just a section of it is clear, but that is still incredibly cool), and check out the safety features in Norwegian currency: Click on the 100-krone and 200-krone links on the right side of this page.

Trav: What's wrong with that? I like that design, typography and all. I think it adds weight to the look.

But then, I'd be opposed to the color change, too, if it were for purely cosmetic purposes. (I just like things to stay the way they are, I guess.)

Modern, cool looking things often look dated and cheesy pretty fast as attitudes and styles change. The good thing with classic (read "old" at times) fonts and styles is that they have withstood the test of time. It may look stodgy or something but it usually stands up better.
