A Reporter's Life


New car

This blogger is now the owner of a brand-new, fully loaded car! It's so new, in fact, that the car won't be here until Monday because it was hard for the salespeople to find one that would suit both my taste and my price. (The pictures in that link are for the 2004 model. They're close enough.)

Oh, nothing in particular, especially since it was a Toyota. But I'd been wanting to upgrade to something sportier, I had enough equity in my car to still get trade-in value on it, and I was going to have to put several hundred dollars into it (not counting the stereo that wasn't going to last too much longer, or the speaker that was starting to buzz). So when I got a good deal on a new car, plus a six-year/75,000-mile warranty, I went for it.

Reminds me of when I was your age and I splurged on a new guitar. Two years later I think I traded it for help moving furniture. Sorta wish I still had it. BTW, this time the Men's Ministry moved us.
