Arcata trip

I am pleased to report that I not only went for more than three days without Internet access, but I also managed not to steal an Arcata police car and make it into their local police blotter. I'm sure that disappoints some of you.

Not only is it disappointing, but now I want a full refund. I came to this website with a promise of an exciting account of your trip to Arcata. I expected police chases, bats, cars in ditches, and heck -- I was even hoping for some strip searches -- yet nothing!

You didn't "manage not to steal an Arcata police car", you "failed to steal an Arcata police car". There's a difference, missy.

David: I saw 10 cops on my trip back, but none of them were involved in chases when I saw them. The visit was pleasantly bat-free, and if there were any strip searches, I'm not aware of them. (Um, no, that doesn't mean that I could have been strip searched without knowing it.)
