THEORIES OF LIZ

ALLIANCES

When Tess and Nasedo showed up, initially they appeared to be enemies. By the end of the season, they were allied with the podsters. But is this an alliance or a ruse to gain something from the podsters? And if so, what?

One theory that shapeshifter keeps coming back to is the the Plot of the Peacmakers. We learn that there was war on the Home Planet (we like to call this un-named planet "Twilo" after Dick Van Dyke's mythical planet from his TV show in the 1960's). The podsters are clones of the essences of the leaders of Twilo combined with human DNA. Nasedo, however, is a shapeshifter, not a clone. The Plot of the Peacemakers says that the podsters were created by factions from both sides of the civil war that wanted peace through a marriage alliance with humans, thus dilluting the royal lineages so that they were no longer significant. Nasedo, however, not having the track record of a typical peacemaker (he kills people), is not likely part of the group with this plot. Certainly the book he gives Tess is not part of an agenda to mate with humans.
But recall Michael in the Sexual Healing episode saying,
"Maybe that's how we find out about ourselves: By connecting with humans."
This leaves room for Liz and Max to be together as RedHawk has pictured:
