THE WB IS TOPS AMONG ALL NETWORKS IN YEAR-TO-YEAR GROWTH IN WOMEN 18-34 THROUGH 20 DAYS OF THE FEBRUARY SWEEP THE WB IS ONE OF ONLY TWO NETWORKS TO ACHIEVE GAINS IN ALL 18-34 & 18-49 DEMOS FEBRUARY-TO-FEBRUARY Monday Line-up Scores Tremendous Year-to-Year Gains As "7th Heaven" Is #2 In Time Period In Women 12-34 & #1 For The Night In Teens & Female Teens "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" Is #3 In Its Time Period In Adults 18-34, Women 18-34, Persons 12-34 And Women 12-34 & #1 For The Night In Female Teens

BURBANK, CA (February 21, 2001) - As the February sweep enters its final week, The WB network remains #1 among all networks in growth among women 18-34 (+18%) compared to the first 20 days of the last February sweep. The WB, along with Survivor-fueled CBS are the only two networks to achieve year-to-year growth in all 18-34 and 18-49 demos compared to the same period of last February's sweep. The WB is up +12% in adults 18-34 (1.9), +18% in women 18-34 (2.6), +18% in men 18-34, +13% in adults 18-49, +10% in women 18-49 (2.2) and +9% in men 18-49. The WB is also tied with CBS in women 12-34 (2.9) for the sweep and #1 among all networks in female teens.

The network's two latest success stories were Monday and Tuesday. On Monday, 7TH HEAVEN achieved year-to-year growth in every demo: +40% in adults 18-34 (2.8), +24% in women 18-34 (3.6), +82% in men 18-34 (2.0), +33% in persons 12-34 (3.6), +24% in women 12-34 (4.7), +53% in men 12-34 (2.6), +29% in adults 18-49 (3.1), +24% in women 18-49 (4.1), +31% in men 18-49 (2.1), +28% in teens (5.9), +30% in female teens (7.9), +28% in male teens (4.1) as well as in households (+2%) and total viewers (+12%, 7.9 million). 7TH HEAVEN finished #2 in its time period in women 12-34 and was the #1 show of the entire night in teens and female teens. It also scored its best adults 18-34 and men 18-34 rating since November.

ROSWELL scored phenomenal year-to-year demo growth as well. It was up +100% in adults 18-34, +114% in women 18-34, +80% in men 18-34, +25% in persons 12-34, +19% in women 12-34, +50% in men 12-34, +86% in adults 18-49, +75% in women 18-49, +120% in men 18-49, +28% in households and +43% in total viewers. For the night, The WB was way up year-to-year across-the-board, including +54% in adults 18-34, +39% in women 18-34, +75% in men 18-34, +30% in persons 12-34, +22% in women 12-34, +58% in men 12-34, +38% in adults 18-49, +33% in women 18-49, +60% in men 18-49, +9% in households and +20% in total viewers. The WB's Tuesday was led by BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, which placed #3 among all network time-period competition in adults 18-34 (2.8), women 18-34 (3.4), persons 12-34 (2.9) and women 12-34 (3.7).
