The WB (5.9 million viewers, 2.9/6 in 18-49) again won the night's weblet battle with UPN (4.1m, 2.0/5), although the gap closed a bit.

UPN's "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" topped the WB's "Gilmore Girls" in 18-49 (2.6/7 vs. 2.4/6) and 18-34 (3.0/8 vs. 2.8/8), while the Frog's "Smallville" doubled UPN's "Roswell" in both 18-49 (2.6/6 vs. 1.3/3) and 18-34 (3.4/8 vs. 1.7/4).

For the night, UPN was up year-to-year by more than 100% in key demos.
